Stanford University School of Law

The Stanford University art project includes six metal wall sculpture designs, six oil paintings and a large fresco installed in five lobbies of the newly constructed student housing buildings for the School of Law.

The art pieces for buildings 1, 2, 3 and 4 are an interpretation of the four basic elements of the Universe as viewed by the ancient Greeks. Fire, Water, Air and Earth emerge symbolically in bold and dynamic metal shapes painted in vivacious and harmonious colors to stimulate the viewer's imagination and aesthetic emotions.

The fresco in building 5 is a composition symbolizing the evolution of the Human Intellect from Ancient times to present.
